The International Festival of Films on the theme of disability values people with disabilities through cinematographic works. We select short or long films, subtitled in French and English. Fictions, reports, documentaries, animation, amateur workshops are selected and then put into competition.
We aim to feature representations of all types of disabled and D/deaf lives.
The festival aims to feature all kinds of disabled, D/deaf and neurodiverse characters and themes, including: visual and motor impairments, mental health, autism, learning difficulties, bodily difference, chronic illness, chronic pain, etc.
The 10th edition of the International Festival "Entr'2 Marches", which will take place from 13 to 17 May 2020 in Cannes, aims to be fully accessible to disabled and D/deaf participants and audiences.
Of the 250 to 400 films received each year from some fifty countries, 39 short films from 13 different nationalities form the official selection of the International Festival Entr'2 Marches 2018.
At the end of the screening days, the jury and the public will vote to elect the best short films in 8 categories :
The Festival offers you films around the disability, all disabilities !
The movies awaken all our senses, our emotions, our intuitions and our intellect. They give a spotlight on the artistic and professional talents of people with disabilities through pure fiction or documentaries.
Art, especially cinema, is a powerful lever that opens spaces of expression and freedom. Just watch these films from so different countries to be convinced.
The festival is produced by "APF France handicap", was supported in 2010, by Georges Lautner and today, by Chantal Lauby who brings us her smile, her humor and her image
The Festival is accessible to everybody:
- Titling of films in English and French by the directors, audio description for the blind, simultaneous display on the screen of all presentations, magnetic loops for the hearing impaired, translation into sign language, and accessible places.
In 2010, four members of the Cannes branch of "APF France handicap" (Dominique, Mireille, Claude and Michelle) embarked on the adventure without thinking that the first ENTR'2 MARCHES festival would be so successful . Since 2012, Stéphane Bullot, specialized educator, has joined the organizing team to bring many advances, both in terms of disability and his in-depth knowledge in the field of cinema.
For its first edition the Festival had received only 29 short films. Today it receives 700 from 91 countries of which 39 are selected to participate in the Festival. Thank you so much for your confidence with the Festival International Entr'2 Marches in Cannes.
